Abbreviations: Synthesis(Syn), Decomposition(Decomp), Single Replacement/Displacement(SR), Double Displacement/Replacement(DD), Oxidation-Reduction(Redox), Complex Ion(CI)

1.  A solution of potassium iodide is added to an acidified solution of potassium dichromate. (redox)

2.  A solution of sodium hydroxide is added to a solution of ammonium chloride. (DD)

3.  A strip of magnesium is added to a solution of silver nitrate. (SR)

4.  Solid potassium chlorate is heated in the presence of manganese dioxide as a catalyst. (Decomp)

5.  Dilute hydrochloric acid is added to a solution of potassium carbonate. (acid-carbonate)

6.  Sulfur trioxide gas is added to excess water. (Syn)

7.  Dilute sulfuric acid is added to a solution of barium chloride. (DD)

8.  A concentrated solution of ammonia is added to a solution of copper(II) chloride. (CI)
